REVISION HISTORY:

The minimize to 800x400 didn't really work -- and time goes on!
In this day and age; Screen Display seems to be standardised on 1024x600 (plus!)

So I've released the size to maxium screen display (via scripting!) ... The rest is the same!

EXCEPT:- [( :->= )) I discovered a nasty condition in the Mozilla Browser - It seems that the FORM TAG throws a "Carrage Return" so in the "SYST.HTM" file I've included a DIV / SPAN - visable : True TAG and physically moved the TABLE to just under 1px: - It looks fine! (coool!)

I instreted a new menu option the other day i.e. "other.htm" off the "\vu" directory
It's got lots of different pixs from the web. - Yer! a bit Iffy!
Anyhow what a pain it was. I had to up-date "main.htm" ->"maino.htm"->"link.htm"

So I started to think about making it more easier ... As in only having one file to edit/update. It would have all the link info in it and I'd only have to do it once and the html page would pull that off the server when the common 'html' page is required.

I dabbled with client sided i.e. 'javascript'; but it can't cut the mustard. So I've HAD to resort to 'PHP' I didn't want to but as I say 'javascript' would not do what I wanted.

I also thought about the absolute:positioning thing in <div>'s in the file "main.htm".
I constructed several Table's and from the last one in; The <span> -- <div> gets its position within the screen. But even that didn't go without a hitch ...
... with the width="100%" height="100%" tags ...
... Now wilst width-%-tag is recognised in most browsers height isn't. So its codge
time again! in that I HAD!! to specify the Height and Width of the Tables [sigh!]

Anyhow using 'PHP' I've created a new set of files.
First.) "main.php" ( by use of the include function ) includes "core_galy.htm", "core_link.htm" and "core_blog.htm" [ NOTE: These are the primary link files ]
These are included within the <span> <div> <style> </div> tags
that's how the rollover effect is created within 'maim'

Second.) I created (re-created) Three PHP files: They were HTM files renamed and includeds added.
They are as follows ...
"b92galy.php" calls "core_galy.htm" as used in 'main'
"b92link.php" calls "core_link.htm" as used in 'main'
"b92webl.php" calls "core_blog.htm" as used in 'main'

What I've chopped is this ...
"main.htm" is now "main.php" - and with that javascript Table;
phew! dunno what I was on when I wrote that - BUT! [ it's gone ]
"maino.htm" was blooody Netscape 4.7 codge and is now gone.
"MAIN.PHP" looks for 'Netscape' and just displays a table so [ it's gone ]
"gallery.htm, "links.htm" and "weblog.htm" - because when you alter any part of the "main" display you have to alter the resulting support file
[ it's sorted ]

I've also got some flying 'stars' from Kurt Grigg in the 'main.php' background.
http://www.btinternet.com/~kurt.grigg/javascript
As a final note, I've put some sighting bars ( just like 'Star Trek' ) to surround the rollovers.

All Menu options 'homec.htm' 'menu.htm' and 'clock.htm' have Text Cells Rollovers, but NOT in NetScape Navigator 4.7: Click [ here ] for an example file I've made to explain what's happening. Advanced the 'links' concept to include the 'Gallery' and 'Weblog' pages. Dropped the navigation <- [o] -> and [ ? ] guess who keys; to get more space.

Included a script in 'index.htm' to set the screen size to 800x640 and place it at 0,0 not sure whether I'll keep that, people do get pissy about that sort of thing!

Now using 'CSS' to load -> BODY { font-family : "Times New Roman", Times, serif; } Went to PC-World and had a look at the site through a browser that had some god dammed awfull text set as it font! All the Menu's and Options on the 'syst' menu were blown out of space so I'm using 'CSS' to ensure the site is viewed as in was ment to be viewed. <dunno>

Now put all the CSS rollovers javascript functions inside the homc.htm file: Also implimented a static rollover when the links menu option is selected. The LINKS Table is displayed all the time; or until such time as the mouse moves away from it.

Had a major over-haul as can be seen of the site. - Got rid of a lot of redundant code. Put MOST of the Javascript in 'index.htm' ... and almost all the functions. I now use an eye candy frame to achieve the curve that changes from a normal jpg to a Wider one when a Scroll Bar is used on a page. Before I had it at the bottom of a table in the 'syst' frame. Now it looked OK in IE, but Netscape (yuck!) Opera - pass able! and in NetScape 6 / Mozilla (soso!) I had absolutely shed loads of Javascript to get it looking OK in most Browsers. It was a real botch!

Well I think I sorted it all out; with that extra frame and a filler frame to the right which is now used as the php counter page.

Tested it out in all the above Browers and with a few tweeks it looks the same ...
... in all of them.
